On May 23, 2019, the OSCE seminar on media legislation reforms in the digital era started in “Yildiz” hotel of Ashgabat.
The heads and representatives of OSCE, representatives of the Parliament (Mejlis), Cabinet of Ministers, as well as the relevant ministries and agencies of Turkmenistan, representatives of the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan, faculty of various higher education institutions and the representatives of national mass media participated to the seminar that was organized by the OSCE Center in Ashgabat in assistance of the Turkmen side. In addition, the international experts from Russia and Georgia participate to the seminar.
The aim of the seminar is to provide assistance to the expertise and experience exchange in the field of reforming legislation on media in accordance with the international standards and demands of the modern technological development.
The work of the seminar will continue until May 24, 2019.
