Opportunities for promoting cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Kingdom of Bhutan were considered

On August 7, 2025, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Kingdom of Bhutan Dina Nat Dungyel in the Avaza National Tourist Zone.

At the beginning of the meeting, the importance of holding the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Countries (LLDC3) to promote cooperation between countries and their sustainable development was emphasized.

The parties discussed the possibilities of developing cooperation in the political and diplomatic sphere. The possibilities of establishing diplomatic relations and strengthening partnership within international structures were considered.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan outlined the key vectors of the country’s foreign policy, in particular the importance of preventive diplomacy and positive neutrality in promoting peace and trust between countries and peoples.

In this regard, specific steps taken by Turkmenistan at the regional and international levels were emphasized.

The parties agreed to work on expanding mutually beneficial relations in all areas of mutual interest.
