On April 20, 2020, an online meeting was held in the MFA of Turkmenistan with the delegation headed by the Head of the Eurasia Division of the OECD Global Relations Secretariat William Tompson.
The Turkmen side was led by the Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan. During the meeting, the parties discussed the current level of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the OECD, including the implementation of ongoing projects and events. In particular, the opportunities for the development of competitiveness of small and medium sized businesses in the country were regarded.
Speaking about the threats and challenges to the economic situation in the whole world, the parties elaborated on the joint ways for their successful resolution and exchanged views on the development of economic integration.
