Delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the minister of culture G.Myradaliyev, participated in the 7th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, held in Baku.
The head of the delegation delivered an address focusing on the preservation of national values, the transmission of cultural heritage to future generations, and the strengthening of intercultural cooperation.
In his speech, the minister emphasized that the state policy of Turkmenistan is aimed at preserving national traditions, cultural identity, and historical heritage, as well as ensuring their continuity for future generations.
Particular attention was given to the role of education and youth engagement in public life in safeguarding cultural values. As G.Myradaliyev noted, young people actively participate in environmental initiatives, the restoration of cultural monuments, and the implementation of tourism projects, thereby contributing to the preservation of historical heritage and the sustainable development of the country.
The minister also noted that Turkmenistan’s commitment to its internationally recognized status of permanent neutrality creates favourable conditions for the consistent development of friendly relations with countries around the world and reputable international organizations, as well as for strengthening mutual trust and expanding international cooperation.
Highlighting the importance of cultural diversity, the minister stated that respect for the language, heritage, and national identity of every people is an essential prerequisite for strengthening social harmony and mutual understanding.
According to the minister, culture serves as an important instrument for bringing peoples closer together, strengthening trust, and establishing a solid foundation for peace and sustainable development.
