Meeting with American companies

Today, on the 21st of May 2021, the meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov with the Executive Director of “Turkmenistan-USA” Business Council Eric Stewart and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USA to Turkmenistan Matthew Klimov took place in the online format. The representatives of leading American companies, particularly “S2 Global/Rapiscan”, “Visa”, “Westport Trading Ltd” and “Boeing” also participated to the meeting.

The heads and representatives of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, “Turkmenairlines” Agency, State Bank for Foreign Economic Activities of Turkmenistan took part in the talks from the Turkmen side.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan confirmed the adherence of the Government of Turkmenistan to the expansion of trade-economic collaboration with the United States where the investment, technological and financial spheres hold a special place.

During the meeting, the current and prospective joint projects in the fields of mutual interest were discussed.  The interest of the Turkmen side in the development of trade and investment ties in the area of industry, petroleum-refining, transport, agriculture and water management, and others was voiced.

The parties considered the opportunities of intensifying the partnership and underlined the importance of holding regular meetings on the level of specialists.
