Minister of Education of Turkmenistan Jumamyrat Gurbangeldiyev held a meeting with Professor Dr Rahmi Er, Rector of the University of the Turkish Aeronautical Association. The meeting was attended by representatives of the education and aviation sectors of the two countries.
It was noted that, owing to the special attention and continued support of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, comprehensive reforms are being consistently implemented in the national education system.
The parties exchanged views on the current state of Turkmen-Turkish cooperation in education and science, as well as on opportunities for training highly qualified specialists for the aviation sector. Professor Dr Rahmi Er presented information on the activities of the university and its cooperation in training Turkmen pilots.
The talks focused on developing cooperation in civil aviation, flight safety, aviation technologies, logistics, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. The parties also discussed academic exchanges involving students and faculty members and the development of joint educational programmes.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to expand direct ties between the relevant educational institutions of the two countries and implement mutually beneficial projects.
