Meeting of the Heads of Customs Services of the Member States of the Economic Cooperation Organization

On May 28, 2025, the 10th meeting of the Council of Heads of Customs Administrations of the Economic Cooperation Organization member states was held in Tehran.

The meeting was attended by heads of the customs services of member states, including Chairman of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan Maksat Hudaykuliyev, as well as high-ranking experts from the Islamic Republic of Iran, representatives of international and regional organizations.

The participants of the event discussed the current state and prospects of regional cooperation among the organization’s member states, as well as issues of simplifying regional trade flows and modernizing customs procedures.

During its speech, the delegation of Turkmenistan presented current issues and initiatives to strengthen cooperation between the countries of the region in the customs system.

The meeting participants expressed confidence that the agreements reached will contribute to the further development of regional ties and progress in the transit of international cargo.

In addition, as part of the working visit, the delegation of Turkmenistan held bilateral meeting. The parties discussed the progress of the implementation of the Joint Action Plan for further deepening and expanding cooperation between the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the Customs Administration of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as issues related to the implementation of the planned activities.
