Today, June 03, 2023, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan organized a cycling event in the city of Astana, on the occasion of the World Bicycle Day, established by the UN General Assembly Resolution upon the initiative of Turkmenistan.
The sport event took place in one of the beautiful corners of the Kazakh capital – in the Astana Triathlon Park, that was attended by Turkmen students, who are studying at the universities of Kazakhstan, employees of the diplomatic mission of Turkmenistan, as well as cycling enthusiasts.
Before the start of the cycling, which was organized early in the morning, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan B.Rejepov delivered a keynote speech to the participants and informed about the growing role of this sport in Turkmenistan and in the world, as well as the ongoing policy in Turkmenistan in the field of youth policy and sports, that is aimed at active involvement of in the economic, political and cultural life.
Upon completion of the event, the participants were also given participation certificates.
