Japanese machinery will be purchased

A meeting via videoconferencing was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Chairman of the Japanese-Turkmen Committee on Economic Cooperation, Managing Executive Officer of “ITOCHU Corporation” Hiroyuki Tsubai.

The Chairman of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Activities of Turkmenistan Rahimberdi Jepbarov and the Corporate Officer of Japanese Company “SUMITOMO Corporation” Gota Iwanami also took part in the meeting.

During the session, the current issues of cooperation, in particular related to the supplies of digging machinery and automobiles of Japanese production to Turkmenistan were discussed. The results of joint projects were considered, as well as the possibilities of holding the 14th session of the Turkmen-Japanese Committee on Economic Cooperation in Tokyo.

The parties noted the efficiency of trade-economic relations between Turkmenistan and Japan based on the principles of trust with account of mutual interests.
