18 May 2024, the Tbilisi Television Tower was lit up with the colors of the State Flag of Turkmenistan, a symbol of the nation’s independence and neutrality of the state. On this day Turkmenistan celebrates the Constitution and State Flag Day.
This solemn illumination is also timed to coincide with the motto 2025 – International Year of Peace and Trust and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, which was reflected in the relevant resolutions adopted by the United Nations on Turkmenistan’s initiative.
This friendly action, as well as Georgia’s active support for peacekeeping initiatives presented by Turkmenistan in the international arena, is a vivid manifestation of respect and friendship for the brotherly Turkmen people and a proof of the high level of Turkmen-Georgian relations.
