Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program

The U.S. Embassy announces an open competition for the 2022 Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program, which provides international teachers with unique opportunities to develop expertise in their subject areas enhance their teaching skills and increase their knowledge about the United States. Participants will travel to the United States for a six-week program beginning in January or September 2022.

Candidates should be:

  • Current full-time secondary school teachers OR language center teachers with five or more years of classroom experience in English as a Foreign Language, math, science, or social studies.
  • Teaching students between 12 and 18 years of age, teachers responsible for teaching additional grade levels must teach middle or high school students more than 50% of their work time.
  • Practicing teachers who plan to continue teaching for five years after the program.
  • Residents of their country of citizenship at the time of application.

The application cycle for the 2022 Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program is currently accepting applications until 23:59 on May 1, 2021.
