On 7 April 2024, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia held a football tournament dedicated to World Health Day. The tournament was attended by Turkmen students studying in higher educational institutions of Georgia, as well as citizens of Turkmenistan.
Prior to the tournament, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan in Georgia D. Seyitmammedov addressed the participants. He emphasized that World Health Day plays an important role in strengthening the unity of society and promoting a healthy lifestyle, physical education and sports.
He also noted that in 2024 the 300th Anniversary of the great poet and thinker of the East, founder of Turkmen classical literature Magtymguly Fragi is widely celebrated. The motto of 2024 in Turkmenistan “Fount of wisdom Magtymguly Fragi” is associated with his name.
At the end of the tournament, an award ceremony was held.
