On April 10, 2024, the Ro-Pax ferry “Bagtyyar”, owned by СJSC “Marine Merchant Fleet”, successfully set off on its first voyage this year from the port of Turkmenbashi to the port of Olya. On board the ferry there are 40 trucks with trailers filled with food products.
This voyage is an important step in the development of trade relations between Turkmenistan and Russia. It demonstrates the capabilities of JSC “Marine Merchant Fleet” for the transportation of perishable goods with timely delivery to their destination.
Compared to other modes of transport, ferry service can reduce the delivery time of goods. Transporting goods by ferry is a more economical option compared to air transportation. The Bagtyyar ferry is equipped with modern security and navigation systems, which guarantees the safety of the cargo.
