Export of Turkmen textiles to Astrakhan discussed

On July 2, 2020, negotiations were held in the form of a videoconference with the leadership of the Astrakhan Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation to discuss opportunities for developing bilateral export-import potential.

The negotiations were attended by heads and representatives of relevant ministries and departments of Turkmenistan and the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation.

During the event, representatives of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Astrakhan Region of the Russian Federation discussed the export opportunities and import needs of Turkmenistan and the Astrakhan Region of the Russian Federation.

This meeting provided an opportunity for participants to discuss the current state and prospects of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation. The parties’ attention was paid to the possibilities of expanding cooperation in the field of trade and stock exchange activities; in particular, interest was expressed in the supply of products manufactured in Turkmenistan.

The negotiators exchanged views on the organization of deliveries of textile goods, yarn and cotton products of Turkmen production to the Astrakhan region.
