Explore Türkiye Through Cycling: Curated Routes for Every Rider

Cycling tourism has become an increasingly popular travel trend thanks to its positive impacts, including reducing carbon emissions, improving health and well-being, fostering closer connections between visitors and local communities, and increasing economic benefits for local and rural areas. Furthermore, new trends in cycling tourism show that it is evolving beyond long-distance, sport-focused travel into a more inclusive and experience-oriented way of exploring destinations, centred on ‘more personalised experiences’.  In this transformation, Türkiye stands out with its extensive network of curated cycling routes that combine nature, history, and local culture within a single journey.  Türkiye is also a member of the European Cycle Route Network, which connects the entire European continent by combining 17 long-distance bicycle routes and connects the cities of Edirne, Kırklareli, and İzmir via the EuroVelo 13 and EuroVelo 8 routes.

A Rising Destination for Cycling Tourism

Designed for different cycling disciplines and skill levels, Türkiye’s cycling routes offer far more than scenic rides. They provide immersive experiences, from meeting local communities and tasting regional cuisine to discovering rich natural landscapes and archaeological heritage. Certified bike-friendly accommodation facilities further enhance the experience by offering comfort and dedicated services that ensure a seamless journey.Türkiye’s cycling routes are not only scenic but also host some of the world’s most prestigious races. Earlier this month, the 61st edition of the Presidential Cycling Tour of Türkiye once again showcased the country’s remarkable diversity and rich cycling routes.
