EU and Turkmenistan Discuss Plans for Multilateral and Bilateral Events

A meeting took place at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Brussels between Ambassador Sapar Palvanov and Peteris Ustubs, Director of International Partnerships for Asia and Pacific at the European Commission

During the discussion, the parties touched upon upcoming events in the “EU-Central Asia” format, including a ministerial meeting in Luxembourg and forums in Tashkent.

Additionally, a business forum, “EU-Turkmenistan,” is planned to be held in Ashgabat in 2026.

Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening connectivity across all sectors—transport, energy, digital, and humanitarian—and highlighted the need to maintain high-level contacts.
