Diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Sierra Leone have been established

On June 15, 2020, the Protocol on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Sierra Leоnе was signed in the building of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

On behalf of Turkmenistan, the Document was signed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Islamic Republic of Iran A.Gurbanov.  The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Sierra Leоnе to the Islamic Republic of Iran Alie Badara Kamara signed the given Protocol from the side of Sierra Leоnе.

Before the signing ceremony, Ambassadors discussed the promising courses of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Sierra Leоnе, including such areas as agriculture, geology, investments.  The issues of collaboration in the field of medical services provision were specifically considered taking into consideration the experience accumulated in Turkmenistan.  The colleagues expressed hope for constructive development of friendly relations between the two countries.

Sierra Leone, or officially the Republic of Sierra Leone, is a country in West Africa. It is a very rich country in terms of diamond mines.
