Cooperation between Turkmenistan and the World Bank

On April 8, 2020, a meeting was held between the representatives of government agencies of the country, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, as well as the Central Bank and representatives of the World Bank’s Central Office.

During the video conference, issues of bilateral cooperation in the economic and financial spheres were discussed. The two sides stressed the need to intensify cooperation between Turkmenistan and the World Bank on attracting investment in agricultural projects for small and medium sized enterprises. In this regard, the participants emphasized the effectiveness of relations based on the principles of mutual trust and respect.

The participants stressed the need to coordinate the efforts of Turkmenistan and the World Bank for further development of mutually beneficial cooperation.
