Consultations between the Turkmenistan and Israel

On May 11, 2020, the consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the State of Israel were held through videoconferencing.

The Turkmen delegation was headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, while the Israeli side was led by the Deputy Director General of the MFA of Israel, Head of Eurasia and the Western Balkans Division, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Gary Koren.

The parties reiterated the constructive nature of cooperation between the two states. The development of political-diplomatic dialogue, as well as the collaboration within the international organizations, primarily the UN was discussed. The significance of high-level contacts in the promotion of bilateral ties was underlined.

The diplomats thoroughly considered the opportunities for the development of trade-economic ties between the two states. The increase of mutual export of Turkmen and Israeli produces was touched upon.   Speaking about the priority vectors of bilateral cooperation, the parties emphasized the agrarian field, healthcare and exchange of expertise in the area of innovations.

Also, the issues pertaining to the development of cultural-humanitarian relations, which serve as a vital link in strengthening the ties of friendship, were discussed. The diplomats supported the advancement of mutually beneficial relations in this field.
