Central Asia-China Deputy Foreign Ministers meeting

The meeting in the format of a videoconference was held between the Deputy Foreign Ministers of the countries of Central Asia and the People’s Republic of China.  The main objective of the meeting was the preparation to the second Ministerial Meeting “Central Asia + China” planned to be held in the current year.

The Turkmen delegation at the session was headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan B.Myatiyev.

In his opening remarks, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PRC Le Yucheng  expressed gratitude to the colleagues for participation and highly appraised the given cooperation format.

The Deputy Foreign Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan expressed their vision and gave proposals on the development of cooperation between the countries of Central Asia and China. The key aspects of collaboration on the political-diplomatic vector, as well as in trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres were considered.

The parties discussed the subject matter of the upcoming Ministerial Meeting “Central Asia + China”, gave proposals on the preliminary agenda and viewed the drafts of joint final documents.
