“Caspian Sea – Black sea” international transport corridor is being intensified

On July 15, 2020 the online meeting with Romanian side has been held on the issues of activation of the “Caspian Sea – Black sea” international transport corridor.

From Turkmen side the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, heads and specialists of «Turkmendenizderyayollary», «Turkmendemiryollary», «Turkmenavtoulaglary» agencies, Turkmenbashy International Seaport, Turkmen Logistics Association, Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and others participated to the meeting.

From Romanian side the online meeting was attended by the representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Transport, Infrastructure and Construction as well as representatives of state companies of Romania.

During the meeting the parties exchanged views on the interaction in transit-transport sphere and the maximum use of mutual potential of the “Caspian Sea – Black sea” international transport corridor. The sides focused attention on the issues of price formation in the sphere of freight, customs duties, trade preferences and others.

The sides also discussed the issues of container transportation along this corridor by means of strengthening the cooperation between the ports and logistics partners of the private sector. In this context the parties exchanged the opinions on the possibilities of lease and use of the cargo terminal of Constanta seaport.
