On September 14, the Balkanabat branch of the “Kämil bilim” education center hosted a competition for book lovers. The event, titled “Books are the key to Success,” was attended by about 300 book enthusiasts from the country’s western region, according to the education center.
The competition was held to improve the education of the younger generation, encourage them to read, and enhance their memory. Participants completed test questions on the works of Rahmet Gylyjov’s “Halallyk kyssalary” and Komek Kuliev’s “Ömür kerweni.” The rules of the competition had been announced on the education center’s social media pages before the event.
Following the competition, first place went to Hatyja Nurberdyeva, a Turkmen language and literature teacher at Secondary Specialized School No. 22 in Balkanabat, which focuses on advanced English, physics, and mathematics. The second-place winner was Aziza Gulamova, a pupil at the same school, and third place was awarded to Nurjemal Niyazmyradova, a pupil at Secondary School No. 8 in the Esenguly district of the Balkan velayat.
During the award ceremony, it was noted that the importance of reading is comprehensively discussed in the book “Continuation of the Meaning of My Life” by the Hero-Arkadag. The ceremony highlighted that books have always been a primary tool for enriching a person’s spiritual world and their cultural and intellectual development. They are of great importance for ensuring that the younger generation grows up to be well-rounded individuals.
The competition was organized by the Main Department of Education of the Balkan velayat of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the Balkanabat branch of the “Kämil bilim” education center. The winners were presented with memorable gifts and given discounts on training at the center.
