Berdimuhamedov discussed the possibilities of implementing joint projects in Turkmenistan with the head of Lukoil

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the head of Lukoil PJSC Vagit Alekperov during his working trip to the Balkan velayat.

Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to discuss the prospects for cooperation, the guest stressed the high interest of Russian business, and, in particular, of the largest oil company headed by him, in further expanding partnership with Turkmenistan.

The President of Turkmenistan noted with satisfaction the traditionally friendly, constructive nature of Turkmen-Russian relations, which creates favorable preconditions for the steady strengthening of business ties in key areas.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the possibilities of implementing joint projects and long-term interaction on an economically beneficial basis for both parties.

Introducing the head of state to the activities of Lukoil in the development of hydrocarbon deposits in the Caspian Sea, the businessman stressed that the favorable investment climate created in Turkmenistan and a reliable legal framework contribute to attracting foreign business investments in the development of oil and gas fields, construction of related infrastructure.

In conclusion, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the head of the largest energy company in Russia exchanged good wishes, expressing confidence in the successful continuation of the fruitful partnership.
