The ninth session of the seventh convocation of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan was held. At this session, the Law of Turkmenistan “On Approving and Enacting the New Edition of the Civil Code of Turkmenistan” was adopted.
The inclusion of a special section on international private law in the Civil Code is aimed at ensuring the harmonization of national legislation with international legal standards.
After the new law is published in the press, an analysis related to Turkmenistan’s new international private law by Dowran Orazgylyjov, an expert in international private law and Doctor of Law, will be presented to readers on the Atavatan Turkmenistan website.
The adoption of the new edition of Turkmenistan’s Civil Code, prepared in accordance with the Constitution of Turkmenistan and universally recognized norms of international law, will play an important role in improving the legislative framework of civil legal relations in our country and in strengthening the legal foundations applied to civil legal relations involving foreign persons or elements.
