Ambassador of Turkmenistan to India met with Vice President of Indigenous Horse Society of India

On February 19, 2026, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of India Shalar Geldynazarov, and the Vice President for Development and Sports of the Indigenous Horse Society of India Sarpartap Singh.

During the meeting, the sides discussed opportunities of bilateral cooperation in the horse breeding sector.

The Ambassador informed about the work being carried out at the state level for breeding Ahal-Teke horses in Turkmenistan. Under the motto “Independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan –homeland of purposeful heavenly horses” in 2026, significant events are being held in Turkmenistan, including annual celebration in April dedicated to National holiday of the Turkmen Horses.

Briefing about Indigenous Horse Society of India, Sarpartap Singh noted that there are great opportunities for bilateral cooperation in the equestrian industry.
