Ambassador of Turkmenistan the Republic of Korea attends Korea–Central Asia customs cooperation meeting

On January 30, 2026, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Korea, Begench Durdyyev, attended a formal luncheon meeting held between the Commissioner of the Korea Customs Service and the Ambassadors of Central Asian countries.

The aim of the meeting was to discuss cooperation in the customs sector between the Republic of Korea and Central Asian countries, including the exchange of views on advancing bilateral collaboration.

In particular, participants discussed establishing new forms of cooperation within the Central Asia-Republic of Korea framework, enhancing mutual information exchange in the customs sphere, participating in international conferences and projects organized by the Korea Customs Service, and engaging in training programs, professional development initiatives, and seminars.

Ambassador B. Durdyyev, for his part, highlighted the ongoing cooperation between the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the Korea Customs Service, noting the active participation of Turkmen representatives in training programs organized by the Korean side.
