Ambassador of Turkmenistan Presents Credentials to the President of the United States

On May 21, 2026, His Excellency Esen Aydogdyyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the United States of America, presented his Letters of Credence to His Excellency Donald J. Trump, President of the United States of America, at the White House.

During the ceremony, Ambassador Aydogdyyev conveyed greetings and best wishes from the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

President Trump, in turn, extended his best wishes to the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people.

They also noted the importance of more than 34 years of relations between Turkmenistan and the United States, as well as the shared interest in expanding cooperation in trade, investment, energy, security, cultural exchange, and other areas of mutual interest.
