Ambassador of Turkmenistan in Georgia met with the Chairperson of the Culture Committee of the Parliament of Georgia

On 3 October 2024, Ambassador of the Turkmenistan in Georgia D. Seyitmammedov met with the Chairperson of the Culture Committee of the Parliament of Georgia E.Bolkvadze.

During the meeting, the sides noted the active growth of bilateral relations in all areas of Turkmen-Georgian cooperation, as well as the role of inter-parliamentary cooperation as one of the most important tools for maintaining a productive dialogue between the countries, strengthening effective international partnership and mutual understanding. It was stressed that the cultural and humanitarian sphere occupies a special place in the bilateral agenda.

The sides noted the visit of the parliamentary delegation led by Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia Shalva Papuashvili to Turkmenistan, as well as the visit of the delegation of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan to Georgia in April this year.

The Ambassador informed E.Bolkvadze about the events held by the Embassy on the occasion of the 300th Anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and philosopher Magtymguly Fragi, as well as planned activities.

In turn, E. Bolkvadze expressed readiness to cooperate and noted that such events would promote the popularisation of the national culture and art of the Turkmen people, as well as further strengthening cultural and humanitarian cooperation between our countries and peoples.
