Afghanistan’s Chargé d’Affaires Meets with UN Political Advisor in Turkmenistan

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s embassy in Turkmenistan announced a significant meeting between Fazl Mohammad Sabir, the chargé d’affaires of Afghanistan, and Andrei Larin, the political advisor of the United Nations Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia.

During their discussion, Larin emphasized the UN center’s primary objectives, which include supporting regional countries and enhancing cooperation with Afghanistan. He acknowledged recent positive developments in Afghanistan, particularly in comprehensive development, major infrastructure projects, and new public initiatives.

Larin highlighted the importance of creating job opportunities, and specifically praising the implementation of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) project and other key infrastructure initiatives in collaboration with Turkmenistan.

Sabir reiterated Afghanistan’s commitment to an economic-focused policy aimed at fostering relationships with the international community. He also outlined the significant achievements of the Islamic Emirate over the past three years, particularly in enhancing political, economic, transportation, and transit relations with neighboring countries, most notably Turkmenistan.
