On October 26, 2019, the meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R.Meredov with the Minister of Economic Affairs of Malaysia Dato' Seri Mohamed Azmin bin Ali was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
At the beginning of the meeting, warmly welcoming each other, the parties noted with satisfaction the positive dynamics of the development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of economics and energy.
During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on a number of important areas of the development of bilateral relations in the economic sphere. Appreciating the economic and energy potential of Turkmenistan, the Minister of Economic Affairs of Malaysia noted the importance of enhancing relations in the implementation of high technologies, innovations, best practices in various sectors of the national economy, as well as the prospects for the implementation of joint projects in the fuel and energy sector.
At the end of the meeting, the parties noted that this meeting will serve to further deepen the Turkmen-Malaysian economic ties and will facilitate the establishment of new business contacts between the state and business structures of the two countries.
