On September 30, 2025, the festive reception dedicated to the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence was held at the “Sheraton Grand Doha” hotel in Doha. The event was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the State of Qatar.
The reception was attended by the Minister of Labour of the State of Qatar, Ali bin Saeed bin Samikh Al-Marri, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Ambassadors and diplomats of foreign states accredited in Qatar, media representatives, as well as Turkmen citizens and students.
In his remarks, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan, Mr. M.Seyitmammedov, highlighted the achievements of the country during the years of Independence and underlined the importance of Turkmenistan’s international cooperation. In particular, he noted that at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, at the initiative of Turkmenistan, the resolution “2025 – International Year of Peace and Trust” was unanimously adopted with 86 states co-sponsoring it. This reflects the recognition of Turkmenistan’s peace-loving foreign policy by the international community.
As part of the event, a video presentation was shown, Turkmen folk songs were performed, and national dishes were offered to the guests.
