Georgian Prime Minister meets President of Turkmenistan

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, has met with the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedow.

According to the Government Administration, the one-on-one meeting focused on the positive dynamics of developing bilateral cooperation across various sectors. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to further deepening relations in the political, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.

Special attention was paid to partnership within the transport and energy sectors. In this context, the leaders highlighted the critical importance of regional connectivity and the Middle Corridor, expressing a shared readiness to support the further development of the Trans-Caspian Transport Route.

The Turkmen delegation also expressed a strong interest in drawing upon Georgia’s successful reforms and institutional experience across several fields.

Furthermore, during the discussions, both leaders strongly emphasised the vital role that regional peace and stability play in securing long-term development and prosperity.
