Georgia and Turkmenistan Education ministers meet in Tbilisi

The Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Givi Mikanadze, has held a bilateral meeting with the Turkmen Minister of Education, Jumamyrat Shamyradovich Gurbangeldiyev.

According to the Ministry of Education, the two ministers explored opportunities to deepen partnership across their portfolios and discussed key priorities for future cooperation.

During the talks, Givi Mikanadze briefed his counterpart on the core directions of the large-scale reforms currently underway across the Georgian education system, highlighting several upcoming initiatives.

“The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral ties across vocational, preschool, primary, secondary, and higher education, as well as on enhancing cooperation in youth affairs, including the organisation of international youth camps.

Particular emphasis was placed on expanding partnerships between higher education institutions and research institutes in both countries.
Concluding the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close cooperation and actively supporting the delivery of joint educational projects,” the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth stated.

The high-level meeting was also attended by Jaba Samushia, Rector of Tbilisi State University, and Davit Gurgenidze, Rector of the Technical University of Georgia.
