Prospects for academic and youth cooperation between Turkmenistan and Georgia were discussed in Tbilisi

On 10 June 2026, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Georgia, D. Seyitmammedov met with  Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia G.Mikanadze.

During the meeting, the sides discussed a broad range of issues related to bilateral cooperation in the fields of education, science, and youth policy, which are of mutual interest.

Particular attention was paid to pressing issues related to the enhancement and expansion of the treaty and legal framework, which constitutes a solid basis for long-term cooperation between the two countries in science and education.

The participants of the meeting emphasized the importance of further advancing academic mobility, enhancing student and faculty exchanges, implementing joint educational programs, as well as strengthening inter-university cooperation, improving the quality of education, and disseminating best practices in the training of highly qualified personnel.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the sides reaffirmed their interest in further developing scientific cooperation and expressed their readiness to support new initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two states in the fields of science and education.
