- Drilling and completion of production wells to ensure the planned production volumes.
The signing took place on the sidelines of the scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 20th anniversary of gas cooperation between China and Turkmenistan.
As noted at the conference by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, “the launch of work on the development of the next — fourth — phase of the Galkynysh gas field through the joint efforts of the State Concern Turkmengaz and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) is yet another vivid testament to the flourishing of Turkmen-Chinese cooperation in the gas sector.”
The total reserves of the Galkynysh field, together with the Yashlar and Garakol fields, amount to 27.4 trillion cubic meters of gas. In total, seven phases of field development are planned.
