Prospects for developing cooperation between Turkmenistan and Türkiye discussed

On March 31, 2026, a meeting was held at the MFA of Turkmenistan between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Ahmet Gurbanov, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Turkmenistan, Ahmet Demirok.

During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues regarding the further development of bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on key items of the regional and international agenda.

The diplomats noted the high level of political and diplomatic relations. They expressed satisfaction with the positive experience of interaction between the two countries within international platforms and reaffirmed their intention to continue providing mutual support for each other’s initiatives.

Particular attention was paid to expanding trade and economic cooperation, as well as interaction in the energy and transport sectors.

The meeting also reviewed prospects for developing cultural and humanitarian ties, including the organization of joint events and mutual participation in international forums.

Following the talks, the parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening and expanding the multifaceted partnership between the two friendly nations.
