As previously reported, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is currently on a friendly visit to China, met with the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping.
Following the meeting between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, a gift-giving ceremony was held.
On behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov presented President Xi Jinping with a magnificent Akhal-Teke horse named Gadyrly (meaning “Esteemed”). This event serves as a wonderful symbol of the flourishing relations between the two countries.
President Xi Jinping accepted the exquisite gift with pride, noting that Akhal-Teke horses are held in high regard in China. Furthermore, President Xi emphasized that Turkmenistan is the homeland of the famous Akhal-Teke horses and recalled with great pride that 12 years ago, he was gifted another Akhal-Teke horse named Gahryman (meaning “Hero”).
