A videoconference meeting was held between ADA University and the Institute of International Relations of Turkmenistan

A videoconference meeting was held between ADA University of Azerbaijan and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The event featured remarks by Fariz Ismayilzada, Vice Rector of ADA University; Gulshad Yusupova, Rector of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan as well as Qismat Gozalov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Turkmenistan, and Gurbanmemmed Elyasov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, the participants emphasized the importance of further developing the existing cooperation between the two educational institutions in the fields of science and education and discussed areas of mutual interest within this framework.

It was noted that the Azerbaijan–Turkmenistan Joint Intergovernmental Commission also plays a significant role in advancing cooperation in the fields of science and education, contributing to the systematic expansion of collaboration through joint projects and academic initiatives.

In accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the higher education institutions, the videoconference addressed opportunities for organizing joint academic events, promoting mutual exchange of experience, holding scientific and practical conferences, lectures and seminars, expanding faculty and student exchange programs, and enhancing cooperation in scientific publications. In this context, attention was also drawn to the participation of Turkmen diplomats and students in training programs at ADA University, and the importance of continuing this cooperation was underscored.

At the same time, reference was made to the decision adopted at UNESCO’s 43rd General Conference to proclaim 15 December as World Turkic Language Family Day, as well as to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, on the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress, which was held for the first time in Baku. In this regard, the possibilities for organizing joint events between the educational institutions dedicated to these significant occasions were considered.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on future areas of cooperation in the field of science and education within the framework of existing collaboration mechanisms.
