The official website of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship has been launched — https://www.hemayat.gov.tm/.
The platform was created to make the foundation’s activities as open, accessible, and convenient as possible for both citizens of Turkmenistan and international partners. The site features information about the foundation’s mission, areas of work, news, and media content.
The main tasks of the foundation, established in March 2021 on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov:
- providing comprehensive support to children left without parental care;
- financing complex medical operations and treatment;
- rehabilitation and health improvement;
- social adaptation and provision of necessary care items;
- developing international cooperation in the field of child rights protection.
Over its four-year period, the foundation has helped hundreds of children, providing funding for more than 700 surgical interventions and rehabilitation programs. Dozens of charitable projects have been implemented both within the country and abroad. The foundation has opened a branch in the national tourist zone “Awaza,” actively collaborates with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and continues to expand its partnership networks.
The foundation systematically supports children’s hospital departments throughout the country, donating modern ambulances, hemodialysis equipment, and even a specialized helicopter. In addition, under the foundation’s patronage are the pupils of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Center in the city of Arkadag, as well as similar medical and educational institutions operating across the country.
