During his working visit to Tokyo, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov participated in the first summit of the “Central Asia – Japan” Dialogue.
The summit, held under the chairmanship of Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, was attended, along with President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, by President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
At the first summit of the “Central Asia – Japan” Dialogue, issues of cooperation between Japan and the countries of the region were discussed.

As part of his working visit to Tokyo, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also met with Emperor of Japan Naruhito. This meeting was the second this year; earlier, during his visit to Japan in April, the President had also met with the Japanese Emperor.
In addition, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a business meeting with the heads of leading Japanese companies and met with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Japanese Parliament, Fukushiro Nukaga, as well as with Endo Toshiaki, Head of the Japanese side of the Turkmenistan–Japan Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group.
Following the meeting with Japanese business representatives, 11 documents were signed.
