Meeting the Minister of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the UAE

At the initiative of the Turkmen side, a meeting took place on August 12, 2024, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the UAE between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan, S. Garajayev, and the Minister of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, Khalifa Shaheen Almarar. During the meeting, the Ambassador emphasized the actively developing relations between Turkmenistan and the UAE,

Issues of cultural exchange and strengthening bilateral ties were also discussed. Both sides expressed their readiness to support the implementation of initiatives and agreed to continue discussions on these matters with the relevant ministries for more detailed elaboration.

The parties also discussed the possibility of organizing an online meeting between the heads of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and representatives of various ministries of both countries. The Ambassador also discussed with the Emirati side the possible participation of the UAE at the highest level in the International Forum dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi, to be held in Ashgabat on October 11, 2024, and emphasized the significance of this event. Minister of State Khalifa Shaheen Almarar assured that the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Office of the President of the UAE, is working on this matter.

Both sides expressed mutual appreciation for the constructive dialogue and agreed to continue cooperation in various fields.
