On November 5, 2021, in preparation for the 14th “Central Asia – Republic of Korea” Cooperation Forum (Central Asia-ROK), scheduled on November 30 this year, a meeting of the participating countries at the level of deputy foreign ministers in a hybrid format was held in Dushanbe.
Turkmenistan was represented at the meeting by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vepa Hajiyev.
During this meeting, the diplomats discussed implementation of the outcome documents of the 13th meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Central Asia-ROK Forum.
Discussions were held on the preparation of documents to be adopted in the framework of the upcoming ministerial dialogue. In particular, participants exchanged views on the drafts of the Joint Statement of the participants on the outcomes of the 14th Forum and the Work Plan of the Secretariat for 2022.
The meeting also considered issues of further development of multilateral and long-term political and diplomatic, trade and economic cooperation between the countries, establishment of effective links between the business communities and implementation of joint projects in areas such as environmental protection, renewable energy, health and high technology.
In this context, the parties considered the initiative of the parties to hold multilateral events, as well as the first Business Forum in the framework of the upcoming ministerial meeting.
