Today President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to our country Vidhu P. Nair discussed the possibilities of increasing the pace of implementation of the project for the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) transnational gas pipeline and other aspects of the development of interstate cooperation.
Confirming India’s high interest in speeding up the construction of the TAPI gas pipeline, the ambassador expressed confidence that the implementation of this ambitious project would contribute to the development of economic cooperation in the regional and international dimensions.

It was emphasized that the confidential nature of relations based on the common historical and cultural roots allows the formation of new areas of bilateral interaction.
Expressing gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the active attention to the issues of Turkmen-Indian cooperation, the diplomat assured that he would in every way contribute to the strengthening of interstate relations.
