On June 4, 2020, the online talks of the Co-chairs of the Turkmen-Tatar Working Group on Economic, Scientific-Technical and Cultural Cooperation were held through videoconferencing. The delegations were headed by the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation A. Karimov and the Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan E.Annamuhammedov.
During the meeting, the dynamics of regular meetings at different levels was noted that contributes to further expansion and deepening of Turkmen-Tatar partnership.
During the event, the parties discussed the implementation of the decisions of the previous meeting of the Working Group, including in the trade-economic and humanitarian fields of joint bilateral cooperation. Engineering, petrochemistry, aircraft manufacturing, shipbuilding, agriculture and others were highlighted as one of the priority areas for mutually beneficial partnerships.
As is known, in the framework of the working group, the parties attained significant agreements in various sectors of cooperation including the intensification of cooperation of the Turkmen side with the leading companies of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Co-chairs of the Turkmen-Tatar Working Group also agreed to develop mutually beneficial ties on the whole spectrum of relations possessing mutual interest and having good potential for joint implementation.
