Georgian Education Minister attends inauguration of Turkmenistan’s State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering

The Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Givi Mikanadze, alongside Turkmenistan’s Minister of Education, Jumamyrat Gurbangeldiyev, attended the opening ceremony of the State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering of Turkmenistan, where he toured the facility’s modern educational infrastructure and academic programmes.

According to the Ministry of Education of Georgia, the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, addressed the assembled guests at the event, emphasising the paramount importance of supporting higher education and university development.

Following the ceremony, Givi Mikanadze was hosted by his Turkmen counterpart for bilateral talks. During the meeting, the ministers discussed prospects for strengthening partnership in education, including institutional collaboration between Georgian universities and Turkmenistan’s State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering.

The Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Zviad Gabisonia, and the Ambassador of Georgia to Turkmenistan, Konstantine Sabiashvili, accompanied the Minister.
