On October 11, 2019, the delegation of the Russian Federation headed by the President V.V. Putin arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the Session of the Heads of States Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
Within the framework of the visit, the meeting of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin with the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was held, in the course of which, heads of friendly countries discussed the current issues of bilateral strategic cooperation in political, trade-economic and cultural spheres. Also, the parties discussed the issues of the development of Turkmen-Russian cooperation in the framework of the UN, CIS and other international organizations.
