UN secretary-general António Guterres will visit Central Asia between 29 June and 7 July, with the first stop in Uzbekistan, his spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric said on Friday.

After Uzbekistan, the head of the UN will travel to Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. António Guterres visited the region in 2017.

During the visit, the UN secretary-general will hold meetings with each country’s heads of states and other senior government officials, spokesperson said at a briefing in New York.
