Turkmenistan Business Delegation Arrives in Eswatini to Strengthen Economic Cooperation A high-level business delegation from Turkmenistan has arrived in the Kingdom of Eswatini to strengthen bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, and development. The visit follows recent efforts by both countries to formalize diplomatic relations, according to Eswatini Positive News.
The delegation is led by Mr. Khydyrberdy Abdurakhmanov, the Founder and Owner of Aydyn Gijeler Holding LTD. The company operates in manufacturing, infrastructure development, electronics, and IT solutions.
The Turkmen delegation were officially welcomed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Pholile Shakantu, and the Minister of Home Affairs, HRH Princess Lindiwe.

The visit builds on the momentum created by King Mswati III’s visit to Turkmenistan last year to attend the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3).
As noted, the visit set the foundation for closer diplomatic and economic engagement between Turkmenistan and Eswatini. On 5 August 2025, the Kingdom of Eswatini and Turkmenistan signed a Protocol on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations. The agreement was signed by Senator Pholile Shakantu on behalf of Eswatini and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov for Turkmenistan, formally opening channels for diplomatic, economic, and technical cooperation.
The source emphasizes that the diplomatic framework creates opportunities for collaboration in key sectors, including energy, agriculture, climate resilience, infrastructure development, and technology.
Furthermore, the countries aim to strengthen cooperation in multilateral platforms regarding peacebuilding and sustainable development initiatives.
