Turkmenistan and Serbia intensify mutually beneficial cooperation

On June 7, an online meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Nikola Selakovic was held.

During the meeting, a constructive exchange of views took place on key issues of bilateral and international agenda. The mutual strive of the parties to further development of Turkmen-Serbian interaction on all vectors posing mutual interest was underlined.

In this respect, the intention of two countries to expand close cooperation in political-diplomatic, trade-economic and humanitarian fields was emphasized.

The necessity of activating the contacts among the MFAs of two countries was stated.  The parties agreed to carry out work on the development of legal-contractual base of collaboration.

It was underlined that Turkmenistan and Serbia actively cooperate on the international platforms.  The positive experience of mutual support of the candidacies of two countries in the framework of respected international organizations was underlined.

The commitment of the parties to the development of economic cooperation on such areas as trade, textile industry and gas chemical sector was stated.

The Ministers agreed to develop a draft Roadmap of bilateral cooperation, which will include a list of concrete events, aimed at further advancement of multifaceted partnership.

The necessity of intensifying bilateral relations in the area of education and science was voiced where the parties have favorable opportunities.
