Turkmenistan and Russia are preparing a 3-year economic cooperation program

The eighth session of the High-level Group on Facilitating Trade and Investments in the framework of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian Commission on Economic Cooperation was held in the format of a videoconference.

The Turkmen delegation was headed by the Deputy Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of K.A.Kurbanov, while the Russian side was led by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation D.V.Volvach.

The parties discussed the issues pertaining to trade-economic collaboration and reviewed the draft Programme of Economic Cooperation between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the Russian Federation for the period of 2021-2023.

The implementation of joint projects was analyzed.  An exchange of views took place concerning the conditions of improving the mutual trade, and cooperation among others in the area of industry, energy, finances, including the partnership between the financial regulators and commercial banks of Turkmenistan and Russia.

Upon the outcomes of the session, the Protocol of the Eighth Session of the High-level Group on Facilitating Trade and Investments in the framework of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian Commission on Economic Cooperation was signed.
